I am currently Deputy Director: Infrastructure Strategy and Capital Funding at the Department of Health and Social Care. It’s a broad role encompassing strategic estates (including policy for NHS net zero carbon), capital strategy and the monitoring and reporting of capital expenditure and related outcomes.

I’ve previously undertaken a range of policy, governance and leadership roles in the department, and prior to that in NHS and wider public sector. I feel very grateful for the opportunity to have led and worked on areas as diverse as NHS land, research and development, sponsorship of departmental arms-length bodies and technology governance.

I’m proud to be a civil servant in DHSC and to have the opportunity to contribute to infrastructure investment and decisions which directly support the care people receive from the NHS, the facilities in which they receive it, and the wider infrastructure which supports health and care priorities.

I live in Durham and in my spare time I am torn between equestrian activities and music!
